Around here time seem to be running a million miles an hour. Sometimes I find myself wondering with what happened to the day, the week, the month. It is June already and nearly half a year has disappeared. I can tell you the work on my UFO list has can to a screaming halt. Though I can say four projects have been crossed off and are currently hanging in the shop, which is really good. There is a fifth one just waiting on the binding to be completed and a couple that have just come back from being quilted.

Quilted by Valerie – House of Valerie. She always does a great job with my quilts.

With that said all the completed projects so far, are fairly new projects. They have only been on this year’s list or 1-2 may be been on last year’s list. Only one old UFO has had any work done to it, which is not a good thing. It would be nice to see a couple of the old one disappear before the end of this year. I will select an old project on my list for the next Project Uninterrupted Group Challenge next month. The way thing have been going I better start thinking about it now because July will be here before we know it. I better get my act together on the current challenge I wanted my Fish ladder quilt to quilt top stage.

Here it is laid out, when I decided I need 12 more blocks.

Now the blocks are made I need to join them all together before the end of the month, in between working on some other workshop samples. that will be need for the second half of the year. Luckily the first one isn’t need until the end of August and I have the first size completed, I just want to make the larger version before the workshop date.

In the meantime I need to work on the June long weekend sale. Starting Thursday 9th June and finishing Sunday 12th June, I have planned some great in store specials. Phone orders for those who can’t get to the shop are welcome. There will be a stack of fabric on the bolts on special, starting from $10 a metre, plus a selection of precuts on special (fabric bundles, jelly rolls, layer cakes), A variety of patterns at $5 each or 10 for $40, Panels – 3 for the price 2 (the cheapest one is free), plus a selection of other items at crazy clearance prices. There may be a surprise or two up my sleeve for later in the week for everyone to watch out for too.

Cynthia’s Ark Mid Year Sale

Today being the last of our Project Uninterrupted sessions (Sit and Sew) for June, I am hoping to join the girls for some sewing to do some sample work. Fingers crossed I get to the machine for a little bit in between customers.

Until Next Time Keep Stitching
