It has been a crazy week here. Lots of work going on behind the scenes. With the Clare Quilters Exhibition on the October long Weekend and our annual Retreat the following weekend, it is busy. Through in a new website/ blog and everything else that goes with it, there no free time to smell the rose. Not that I have any to smell. I did take the time to enjoy a beautiful sunrise on Wednesday. Yes I am regularly up at that time of the morning and Wednesday sunrise was the best I have seen in the last couple of weeks.
The colours remind me of a range of fabric called Sky by Jennifer Sampou. I have used them a few times and I think there is a couple of bolts left in stock.
The Great International Craft Show #11(GICS 11) started on Thursday. It is an online Craft show, so if you haven’t checked it out pop over here and check out the shopping hall and classroom. For this event the classroom is free to access, courtesy of Channel 10 new crafting series Making It. Check that out too.
Though our website is still a work in progress we are part of GICS 11, introducing everyone to the new site and it’s features early. Don’t worry there will be plenty of fabric added to the site soon. We are just trying to work out the best way to set it on the new site, to make it easy for the customers to purchase.
One of the questions I have been asked over the last couple of days is Can I place a phone order? The answer is yes, we are happy for you to call the shop, if you prefer to deal with a person than a computer. Also it helps if you are looking for something in particular that is not listed on the website yet.
On Friday evening I did get some machine time and did some ruler work on my star blocks which is my sample for my Quilt as you Go workshop on the 24th October. I still have spots open for this workshop, all you need is some completed blocks to attend. The workshop will include quilting your blocks as well of the Quilt as you Go part. Contact the shop if you are interested.
Look at these lovely blocks. Yes they are big, that’s why Quilt as You go is the ideal way to finish this quilt.
Until Next Time
